Frequently asked questions about CareVicinity.
CareVicinity was founded with one mission, to make in-home care in Australia more flexible, affordable, and empowering for those needing aged or disability support. The idea began in 2021, when our founders Kristina and William, inspired by Kristina's experiences as a care coordinator, saw how personal, meaningful relationships could transform the way support is delivered.
Together with their first team member, Lucy, they built CareVicinity around shared values of integrity, respect, and community care. They recognised a simple truth: People deserve choice and control over their care, and support workers deserve fair opportunities to do what they love. From that belief, CareVicinity was born.
Our platform connects Australians with trusted, local support workers through funding programs such as My Aged Care's Support at Home, the NDIS, and DVA Home Support. It's care made simple, personal, and human.

We honour and respect each care recipient's unique story, placing compassion and choice at the heart of all decisions.
