For clients, the 12% fee is included in the total service cost, ensuring you receive high-quality care from insured, independent workers. This fee supports the platform’s operation, making it easy to connect with qualified care workers while ensuring everyone is protected and supported.

Support workers apply for jobs with their desired “take home rate”. The take home rate is that which the support worker wishes to have in pocket for their work (this is an exclusive of GST rate).
The final or “Inclusive rate” is the workers take home rate plus the CareVicinity platform fee of 12% for facilitating and engaging support. This will be displayed to the care recipient when engaging support and will be the amount reflected on the final invoice.
The CareVicinity platform fee is calculated as a 12% charge on each hour of support.
In this example, the care recipient and support worker agree on a support worker’s “take home rate” of $50.00.
The CareVicinity platform fee is added on – meaning the care recipient’s final charge is $56.60.
This platform fee (including GST) comes to a total of $6.60.
