Support workers apply with their desired "take-home rate," which is their pocketed pay and excludes GST.
The "Inclusive rate" is the worker's take-home pay plus a 12% CareVicinity platform fee. This rate, shown to the care recipient, is reflected in the final invoice.
The CareVicinity platform fee is calculated as a 12% charge on each hour of support.
In this example, the care recipient and support worker agree on a support worker’s “take home rate” of $50.00.
The CareVicinity platform fee is added on – meaning the care recipient’s final charge is $56.60.
This platform fee (including GST) comes to a total of $6.60.
